DevOps Tools Management
The ZCP console provides the ability to manage a list of third party tools.
Tools Lookup​
You can view the full list of registered tools, and search by name and type using the Filter function at the top of the screen.
- Tool Name: The user-specified tool name is displayed.
- Type: The tool type is displayed.
- Default: Displays whether the tool is Primary or not.
- Endpoint: Displays the endpoint URI of the tool.
- Related Projects: Displays the number of projects that have a menu link to this tool.
- Enabled: Displays whether the tool is enabled.
- Actions: Displays buttons to perform edit and delete actions for the tool.
Registering Tools​
System administrators can register additional tools directly through the tool management feature.
On the tool list view screen, click the New Tool button:
On the Tool registration screen, enter the information for each item:
- Type: Select the tool type.
- Name: Type a name to identify the tool.
- Endpoint: Enter the endpoint URI from which you can access the tool.
- Status: Select whether the tool is enabled or disabled.
- Default: Select whether this is the Primary tool.
- Creator: The current user is automatically entered.
- Click the Create button to create the tool.
Manage Tool Information​
You can edit the registered tool information.
On the Get Full List of Tools screen, click the tool name or the pencil-shaped button to go to the tool detail pie.
- Type: Select a tool type.
- Name: Type a name to identify the tool.
- Endpoint: Enter the endpoint URI from which you can access the tool.
- Status: Select whether the tool is enabled or disabled.
- Default: Select whether this is the Primary tool.
- Attributes: You can enter Key, Value values as attributes.
- Related Projects: Project names associated with the tool are displayed, separated by .
- Created Date: The creation date is automatically populated.
- Creator: The current user is automatically entered.
- Click the Save button to save the update.
Delete a Tool​
You can delete tools that you don't use.
First, click the Delete button to the right of the tool you want to delete:
Then confirm the name of the tool in the Confirm Delete pop-up window and click the OK button to delete it:
