Sign Up & Login

Sign Up

When you access the ZCP console, you'll see a screen like the one below where you can log in or sign up.

To sign up, click the Register Now button in the lower right corner of the screen to go to the user Sign Up screen:

On the Sign Up screen, enter data in the User information fields:

  1. Username: Enter a username. Usernames can only contain alphabets, numbers, and the characters "-" and ".". You can enter up to 50 characters.
  2. First name: Type the user's first name. You can enter up to 255 characters.
  3. Last name: Type the user's last name. You can enter up to 255 characters.
  4. Email: Enter the user's email in the correct email format.
  5. Password: Enter a password of 8 to 20 characters that contains at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.
  6. Repeat password: Enter the same value as the password you entered in the Password field above.
  7. Click the Create Account button to complete the user signup.

After the signup is completed, you have to wait for approval from the system administrator. Once your administrator approves you, you will be able to use the features that correspond to your assigned role.

Login

When you first open the ZCP console, you are asked to log in or sign up. If you already have an approved account, you can sign in with your account.

  1. On the Signup/Login screen, enter the username and password you registered with when you signed up as a user.

  2. Click the Login button to login.

  3. If you are assigned to one or more projects, you'll be taken to the console screen for project users:

After logging in, you will see the ZCP console screen with various features that allow System/Project administrators and users to monitor and manage clusters, user accounts, and project

The console UI includes:

  • Header Area
  • Side Menu Area
  • Content Area

Header Area

The top menu in the header area provides the following functions:

➀ User profile settings and management

➁ Console theme change

➂ Web Shell (SSH) functionality

➃ Project new requests and join requests

➄ Support Page link

Side Menu Area

It is divided into System/Project menus, and the side menu area may vary accordingly.

  • System Menu: System Admin can view and manage all resources registered in the system at once
  • Project Menu: Project administrators or members can view and manage resources registered to the project

A typical side menu includes:

  • System/Project overall resource Dashboard
  • Cluster management
  • Tool management
  • Resource monitoring & logging
  • Kubernetes resource management
  • User, group & role, permission management
